Yes. "Condenser" has a specific meaning in the refrigerant cycle . There's a condenser (heat out) and evaporator (heat in). Yes, there is heat exchanged on both ends. The condensing end (of the refrigerant cycle) is where we would extract heat for the boiler.

Fwiw heat pumps usually work on a temp differential. For instance your freezer uses a heat pump and the expected temperature difference is probably a maximum of 75 degrees (0 degrees in the freezer, 75 room temp.) Obviously they can go as high as 100 degrees.
The efficiency of the heat pump drops as the temp difference rises.
If a guy had unlimited 150 degree heat source you could easily use a heat pump to get to 212 with some reasonable btus.
