First shotgun build
Well its finished and ready for testing. 5- 1/2" tubes in a gatlin arrangement inside 2" pipe. First foot of cold end crossflow baffled and heat sinks on first 6 inches of hot end. I have a 400 gph pump in a 72 guart cooler with a coil in ice for additional cooling if needed. This is all new territory so any input is greatly appreciated.

Nice job , probably didn't need all the extras though, it still would have worked fine.

You clearly put in a lot of hard work into this and it shows. Once you use your shotgun you will never look back. Nice build...

Nice build.. make sure you have support for it, as it will be heavy once it is filled with water.. otherwise is will put a lot of strain on the ferrules, which is not good over time..

Re: First shotgun build
Hey thank you all for the great feedback. I did overbuild it and i know it wasnt neccesary but i wanted to see how efficient i could make it. It weighs 10 lbs empty and i fixed a tab to the bottom to support it with a stand because it IS hefty.
I also agree it will be a lot better than my flake stand, worms work great with very low flow rates but the flooding and surging drove me insane for decades. For the same money to wind a larger one i built this instead.
AND its more better......
