Is the grade of stainless important (304 vs 316 et. al)?
Would something like these in 304 be suitable for use in a column? https://www.stainlesssteelexpress.com/2 ... pools.html
Seems like prices for a 24" section range from $25 range to over $50 and I'm not sure I see the difference:

304 works fine. It's a little less corrosion resistant than 316, but works fine for our use and is cheaper. Also you don't need astm spec spools.

I made a couple copper twisted turbulators for mine to add more copper to the process. Pretty easy.
