Showing how to make a 'list' of items.

Post by Husker »

Here is a sample list. I will post the same list in a follow up post, but with bbcodes turned off, so people can see the codes.

My Christmas Wish list:

  2. 10 Bushels of corn
  3. 2 Bushels of rye
  4. 4 Bushels of wheat
  5. 4 Bushels of 2 row malt barley
  1. 25 gallon thick stainless BOP

  4. 4 Bushels of wheat
  5. 4 Bushels of 2 row malt barley

Finally, a list inside a list.

Here is the exact same post, but I have disabled the BBCode, so people can see how the list was built.
Simply, the list is a 'container'. It starts with a [list] and ends with a [/list]. Inside this container, each new list item starts the line out with a [*].
If you do [list=a], then the list items will be a, b, c, d, ... If you start with [list=1] then they are 1, 2, 3, 4. If you use [list=A], then they are A, B, C, D. If you start with [list=I] (I being the capital i character) you get roman numerals. I am not sure what 'all' of the valid [list=XXX] are. Feel free to experiment and find out :)

My Christmas Wish list:

[list=A]
[*] 25 gallon thick stainless BOP
[*] 10 Bushels of corn
[*] 2 Bushels of rye
[*] 4 Bushels of wheat
[*] 4 Bushels of 2 row malt barley
[/list]

[list=I]
[*] 25 gallon thick stainless BOP
[*] 10 Bushels of corn
[*] 2 Bushels of rye
[*] 4 Bushels of wheat
[*] 4 Bushels of 2 row malt barley
[/list]

[list=1]
[*] 25 gallon thick stainless BOP
[*] 10 Bushels of corn
[*] 2 Bushels of rye
[*] 4 Bushels of wheat
[*] 4 Bushels of 2 row malt barley
[/list]

[list]
[*] 25 gallon thick stainless BOP
[*] 10 Bushels of corn
[*] 2 Bushels of rye
[*] 4 Bushels of wheat
[*] 4 Bushels of 2 row malt barley
[/list]

Finally, a list inside a list.

[list=1]
[*] 25 gallon thick stainless BOP
[list=a]
[*] [color=#FF0040]40 gallon copper pot still[/color]
[*] [color=#408040]25 gallon wood cask thumper[/color]
[*] [color=#0000FF]20 gallon copper flake stand, with 1" coil[/color]
[/list]
[*] 10 Bushels of corn
[*] 2 Bushels of rye
[*] 4 Bushels of wheat
[*] 4 Bushels of 2 row malt barley
[/list]

This is a test. Just a test of the list numbering system. If this were a real list numbering, you would be given specific numbered items.

This is my numbered list:
  1. Number 1 point
  2. Number 2 point
8)
