As far as i know any gif will work, it just needs to be posted in the same way as a photo or picture.

I have a little animated GIF collection. Tried to upload a real good OP-Art one just now (that was 619 KB) but was met with an error message.

Is seems that GIF animation can be done with the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illiustrator, & InDesign and MS Powerpoint. But these programs are neither easy or cheap.

GIF animation can be done with GIMP too, apparently. But if one had the time, inclination and attention span needed, he could just go here: 12 Best Free GIF Makers in 2022

Does HD strip all the metadata from the photos? That’s one reason I don’t post up pics… don’t want any info linking me personally to anything on this site. Avoiding the red and blue flashing lights in front of my house lol

There are apps out there but here is how to remove data on an iPhone.
Remove Exif Data From Photos on iPhone
Use your Camera App to shoot your photo.
Locate the picture in your albums.
Open it, and tap the Share button.
Tap on Options and in the next pane, toggle off Location and All Photos Data.
