BACHELOR BOILER MEALS

Post by Copperhead road »

not actually a recipe but a cooking style.
We all know how hectic it can be trying to run from the shed to the kitchen while swapping out cut jars from the spout, I decided to grab a small grocery bag of goodies from supermarket and some leftovers from the fridge and do a spirit run of grape brandy with the old potstill.

Killer kebabs- lamb backstrap, red onion, tomato, lettuce, cheese, tabouleah, hummus, tzatziki & slathered in Turkish sambal asli chilli sauce......

Anyways show us what your eating, heating or cooking while running the still. :lolno:

The tortilla heated on the still is a great idea.

That’s a great name for these meals....
The bigger the boiler the longer the day, l never like to leave a still unattended for safety reasons so this works.....

Back in the day people would cook on their engine while traveling.
Manifold Destiny is a book with recipes.
Click & Clack the tappet brothers spoke of this from time to time.
So good job! You have successfully adapted this dying art to stilling!

I seem to remember a few times loosely wrapping some fresh-picked homegrown in foil and drying it on a hot Chrysler manifold near midnight in the middle of summer....

I've made my share of coffee can stews back when coffee cans weren't plastic

no reason that manifold meals and coffee can fare wouldn't translate to still fare.

I did dogs and corn on the cob a few years ago for my kids. They ask me to do it again every summer on our vacation now.
