Well I made grapefruit cello and it turned out great. First I used my 140% death by wheat germ (see tried and true), then added the zest from 3 fresh grapefruit and steeped it in a quart jar for about 10 days. Then I cut it with distilled water down to 55% and added simple syrup to taste.
It was a little astringent at first, but got way better with age. Now I drink it straight as a digestive. Sometimes I mix it with Fresca soda (or Ting if you can get it) for a refreshing thirst quencher. Let me know if ya'll try it.
Next I'm going to try it with orange.
