I was shopping at my local Costco a while ago, and discovered Langers Mango Nectar.
So I checked for preservatives, none, good!
Did a little sugar math and this is the recipe I have been doing that the ladies love so much.
This recipe is scaled for a 6.5 gallon Ale Pale.
4 Gallons, (+ 1 gallon for the thumper opt.) of Langers Mango Nectar from Costco
3 pounds of white sugar
1 pk Premier Cuvee Yeast
DAP
Crushed oyster shell
Multi and B vitamins
1. Melt the sugar in 1 gallon of water. Heating until sugar water is clear.
2. Add Sugar water and 4 gallons on Mango Nectar to the Ale Pale
3. Add 1 TBSP of DAP and 2 TBSP Crushed oyster shell
4. Crush a Multi and B complex vitamin and add to mix
5. Aerate and top up Ale Pale with water, adjusting temp to reach a goal of 75 degrees F.
6. Pitch yeast and air lock
It works off in about a week and can racked directly to the boiler.
I use a pot still with 2 thumpers @ 2.5 gallons each,
Put a half gallon on fresh Mango Nectar in your thump keg when you distill if you have one.
It turns out great without adding the extra nectar to the thumper also.
Enjoy
