Can produce up to 6 gal an hour and 140 to 190 proof.

My ass. 6 gal an hour with that little bitty worm and bucket. I highly doubt it. Unless maybe you are running a hell of a hose into it.

140 to 190 proof. 140 yes. 190 hell no its a lot still.

It's a nice looking pot still. Except the worm and bucket are to small for the size of the still. And will hamper the speed it can run safely. And I would be leary of buying something from someone who blatantly lies in an add to sell it. What else is he not telling you?

It was used on the television show moonshiners and can produce 40 gal on a single run from a 20 gal pot. It does look good and that's the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I really like the part where he says - the reflux still thumper. pot still in the topic. Look at the amount of these things sold. WOW! Shine is on the decline.......

For future research
Would 16oz hold up with propane burner?

What size worm should be used with a 20g pot?

So a thumper should be 1/3 to 1/2 of pot size if I read correctly.

What would the ratio from pot to worm size be?

I am now leaning towards using a 50l keg as a pot

What size should worm pot be? Or is it length of 1/2 coil I should be looking at?

Found a place to get a 50' refrigeration coil for a good price.

A few members have run 3/8' tubing for their worm which is considered to be minimum.. Half inch should work nicely.

"Perfect for starting your own micro distillery!" Can you imaging starting a micro distillery on a 20 gallon pot?

SOLD!

Not. Definitely not worth the money IMO. You can build twice that for half the money.

I get all that, maybe a 20 gallon still can be a test still for a micro distillery. If that's so, I've already started my micro distillery.

The big question is why would you want to put your self on a list? Build your own and learn this hobby the from the inside and out.I look at it this way if you if you don't have the time to build one or the know how then you don't have either to run one.Take your time do the research and learn.Just my opinion and thoughts.

Good looking rig. My only criticism would be the amount of pipe you have between the boiler and thumper. The shorter that distance is, the less time it will take to heat up the thumper. You got enough copper there to build another still.

It's not soldered yet and I've been considering shortening them but just hard to get over the fact I like the look better.
I know function over form and its the reason I haven't soldered yet.

I agree, that's allot of copper to pump energy into. You need to remember you have a thumper to run that needs all that energy.

I personally just took the title as a marketing tool to get more hits.
The description in ad says more.

I used a 1/2" coil for a very long time on a 20 gallon pot. You will get flooding and surging but it easily knocks down the vapor. I was going to wind a 3/4 " coil to combat the flooding but decided to build a shotgun instead. If i ever use a flake stand/coil again it will be 3/4", 1/2 just didnt work well enough to suit me.
I started with 24 feet of 1/2" then shortened it several times until i ended up with 18 feet. I just got tired of messing with it.
