pretty much anything on real speakers and amp. rip buds.
ear buds need the same treatment as a thermometer on a potstill.

if you have never listened to a pair of martin logans with 250-500W driving them, don't walk...run to your nearest hifi store (it's the little place behind costco, just down from wallyworld)...and enjoy some real music. you'll never stick buds in your head again!!
I finally quit drinking for good.

now i drink for evil.

You have posted this as a tribute to my dad of sorts. Great rendition of the song.
CRB one of my favorites as well. Chris is a freakin good poet. One of the coolest shows I ever saw was them with Page, Plant.
Just the bros came out for an acoustic set that included Sister Luck. So cool.

Girl from a pawnshop was the song I was listening to when I found out my Dad had passed. Still chokes me up a little when I play it and it's been 3 years now.

Well, I have a rather extensive list on this one. Being Canadian, of course I am a huge Tragically Hip fan. Ten or so concerts now, many front row (including camping out in -30c for 18 hours for tickets more than once). They are a close tie with "The Cult" which of course means I like "The Doors". Being Canadian doesn't mean I like "Nickleback", all their crap sounds the same...like many other bands...may as well all get together and form "Theory of a HinderBack". CCR is up there, gotta love fogherty. Prism, Foreigner, Nazareth, BTO, Headstones, I could go on forever for any good rock.

Having studied music all my life, and a lot of time working in the industry (even worked security at concerts for many top bands...all time fav was pearl jam...Eddie is really into his fans and shows it), but I've also played instruments. Started with piano when I was about 6, then violin, then tuba and other brass instruments including baritone, trombone, some french horn, while at the same time guitar. Deep studies of music gave me an appreciation for classical.

About the only thing I don't like is rap/hip-hop

Also love bluegrass, but this hobby that goes without saying.

And the odd stuff...dayglo abortions, forgotten rebels, gen-x (Billy Idols first band).

Buds...NEVER! that's like swearing in my walk of life! And huge fan of Bose...even my computer has Bose sound. Car audio...nothing beats clarion pro audio. My Clarion system consists of dual 12" subs, 4 6" drivers, 4 dome tweeters with active cross-over, And 2 6x9 3-ways. All amps and source are clarion pro as well. More in storage, but I got told that is enough for my truck by swmbo. I don't play it loud (often...but nothing like showing off the 19 year old in the rice rocket), but it's about sound quality!

I like all sorts from all era's.

Someone said earlier in this thread if it moves me I like it and I'd have to say that's my philosophy.

Some of the best gigs I've ever been to would be:

Queen at Wembley 1986
Thin Lizzy at Reading 1983
REM at Milton Keynes (supporting U2 can't remember the year)
The Ramones at Milton Keynes (supporting U2 can't remember the year)
Deep Purple at Birmingham (sometime in the 80's) later met Ian Gillan whilst on holiday and he was a really nice, down to earth guy.

Sort of got into House music during the late 80's so spent more time in clubs than at gigs. Now I listen to whatever takes my fancy.
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
