I wrote a page about Kir... But as you know, Uncle Jesse, I'm frenchspeaking and it would be a good idea to correct my production!

It's the first time I'm doin' something else than read the wiky, so if you have any remark, it would be welcome!

Uncle Jessie, here is my attempt to explain Bio-diesel, one of the open words. It is based on my readings from the listed links and others. I don't know how to post it to the Wiki site and don't know if what I have written suits you for that purpose. But if it does, you are welcome to post it.

Bio-diesel refers to the use of processed vegetable oils and animal fats to fuel diesel motors. Bio-diesel fuel can be made from a base of animal fat or from plant oils that can be derived from plants as diverse as soybeans and algae. It can even be made from used cooking oil. Diesel motors can run on bio-diesel fuels without any engine modification. The process by which animal fats and plant oil is turned into bio-diesel fuel is called transesterification. It is a chemical process by which the glycerin is separated out by using alcohol and lye to turn the oils and fats into esters. As a result, a separation occurs between the glycerin and bio-diesel. The bio-diesel is then removed for fuel and the other components are recovered for reuse or as a secondary product.

A sampling of sites that have more bio-diesel information are as follows:

I'm not a specialist, but I simply clicked on the link in Uncle Jesse's post "wanted pages", then on the link for the subject you're planning to write for and type your contribution in the frame that appears. Finally, click on the "save" button...

It worked for me at the first time, but I didn't insert hypertext links in my article... I let U.J. do that as he wants!

Do we really need a wiki page defining "delicious?"

"delicious" is a bit subjective, I think Jagermeister is delicious, but my sister thinks it is "icky, nasty, poo-juice"...whatever.

I created an entry on the wiki FAQ board, and I encourage others to also submit entrys for the benifit of noobs. I think most of the questions are from TheChemist's "off of the top of my head list" . You must enter a username and password and create a new account, but it is easy.
Hey guys!!! Watch this.... OUCH!

i keep waiting for folks to really grasp the nature and flexibility of the wiki.

if you don't like "delicious" as an entry, check the "pages which link here" and go remove the original link to "delicious". it'll make the page for "delicious" disappear, though i believe the link is for the "delicious apple" which is a variety.

we all have the power to edit it, create it, steer it's direction intelligently which is the whole fun of it.

Well, I've written an Absente entry and an entry for "on the rocks". I also changed delicious to "delicious apples" because the two links were referring to a specific type of apple, not to the state of being yummy.

I also edited the Kir page. Bujapat, you need to stop apologizing for your English. If I spoke French half as well as you speak English, I'd move to Paris.

I saw your changes, KatoFong... Good job, It sounds more english (american?) than french now...

So, Mr Kir was a catholic priest, with the title of "chanoine", I think you say "canon", in english. I found special and funny that an ecclesiastic was mayor of Dijon and at the origin of a beverage's name.

Otherwise, my english seems perhaps good... But you don't know the time it takes me to write a few lines!
