Little or nothing to do with distillation.

One more pic of the big hill

Post by OlympicMtDoo »

Don't mean to overload this place with pics but I came across this one and I just had to share it. I wouldn't put this on here but the face is totaly dark because it's about 5:00 AM about half way up Mt. Ellinor just above Hoodsport (Bull Rider) That is Rainier, Hood Canal and verious parts of Puget Sound, everything between the Olympics and the Cascades, oh and the silouet of my Grandson.

Years ago when my submarine was operating out of Bangor, I used to seek out views like that every chance I got. Most beautiful summers of anywhere I have ever lived. Rode the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle purely for the views of Mt. Rainer. Sailing on Hood Canal on up into the Straits is a trip that can't be beat.

P.S. You are making me hate you, too.

Yep, quite simply Beautiful OlympicMtDoo...
I love climbing, i've done it since I was a boy. I don't see a mountain as a challenge anymore, simply a means of escape with friends...
Thanks for reminding me that spring will soon be here and the gear oiled and ready...

Another Great photo...

Oh Man, I know what you mean Samohon, I have spent most of my life, either working or playing in them mountains and I've seen some real pretty places in my life but I suspect it's them Olympics that keep me here in this part of the country, when the sun comes out a man is pretty hard pressed to find a more beautiful palce. About to pour me a drink, cheers to all.

I wanna see some other members "Happy Place". Admittedly, I'm a photography buff....
