If you cant walk through Tractor Supply without going through the feed and grain room (even though you dont have any farm animals), you might be a stiller..
Last week, I found rolled oats, flaked corn, and whole white wheat, and didnt buy anything but oyster shell for the garden, and another 5 gallon bucket.

Use all your senses, and its not that hard. You just have to pay attention.

If you look at every piece of fruit, potato, cereal and wonder how much starch is in it and what kind of starting gravity you would get, you might be a stiller

If your PhD scientist daughter comes home after a few years out of the house and says "Dad, I don't even need to see that all hooked up to know what you're up to!", you might be a stiller.

Last time I bought grain at TSC the clerk asked me what I was feeding ."Yeast," was my reply .
"Y'all need any propane for that ?"was his reply .

If you’re ever loaded and see a clock that says 6.33pm , you might be a stiller with access to too much likker!
Numerous 57L kegs, some propane, one 220v electric with stilldragon controller. Keggle for all-Grain, two pot still tops for whisky, a 3" reflux with deflag for vodka. Coming up, a 4" perf plate column. Life is short, make whisky and drag race!

When your wife tells your kids that you are talking about making likker again, and the kids buy you a BOP for Christmas, you might be getting a hint from them that they'd like you to be a stiller again...

Simple Lil' Pot Still, no temp guage, no carbon, no scrubbers, nuthin' fancy. Sometimes use a thumper, sometimes don't.
Real good info for New Folks:

I had to look at that for a minute... what the hell was I talking about? Was I loaded when I wrote that??
Then I realized, I was talking about being loaded by 6.33pm and yes I remember posting that and yes I was loaded at the time... holy moley...when you have to explain your own jokes to yourself, you might be a stiller!

When you are stuck behind a grain truck on a country road, watching grain spill out when it hits the bumps and wishing you had a bucket....
Beware the old man in a young man’s game.

Yep. Them tweakers would have it stole before the solder cooled.

Same in this area, to a point. Several chicken houses were stripped of ALL copper some years back when prices were up some. Two 400 or 500 foot houses got stripped in less than a week. Faster than the bank could get the paperwork printed for the people buying them.
