Who are the Aussies here?
I have recently caught the distilling bug. Made myself a pot still from a 20 litre boiler with a jacket cooler, cost me $18 Au to build. Now I want build a reflux model. I have acquired a 9 gallon keg and I am on the hunt for some 2" copper or stainless...........So! who are the Aussie members here? is there anyone from the mid north coast of NSW?
Keep on Stillin'

G'day Bob,
I built a Valved reflux and use a 50L Keg for the boiler and 3 ring gas burner for heating and I also use a parrot's beak which is terrific.
You can see it here http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2710

Central Victoria, around 100/120 miles north of Smellbourne.
Way, way in the bush, so to speak.

Simple potstiller. Slow, single run.
(50 litre, propane heated pot still. Coil in bucket condenser - No thermometer, No carbon)
The Reading Lounge AND the Rules We Live By should be compulsory reading
Cumudgeon and loving it.

moonshine conference in OZ
bourbonbob,,,,,,,,,,,what a brilliant idea
now let's see if 50% of members live in queenland and 50% live in antarctica then the halfway mark is tassie
sorry being levitous
apart from exchanging ideas , photos etc etc we could put forward samples ,, one of the few things we can't do of course online
normally only have rellies / mates etc as judges,,,,and because they are gulping free piss are usually placating
but other distillers would of course be more frank
not at christmas though too much placating to be done
many regards brian

This could be interesting especially the master classes. If my time table fits I'll probably attend the public sessions.bourbonbob wrote:duds2u wrote:Anybody going to the Third Malt Whisky Convention in Melbourne in August.
