What is Our demographic?

Curious about the spread in HD members age/gender. Do we have any women on this board? I wonder what our avg age is?

Think this was done a couple years ago and a 1000 members fewer. I will start by saying I am a male from the PNW older than most members but not as old as Dnder!

There were two women who recently posted in the Welcome Center but I'm not sure there are much more than maybe a handful or two. SO 95+% men and people who like to drink(which is everyone) about sums it up. Personally, male, old...how old?

My unofficial trending shows that it appears that most users inhabit the SE USA, PNW USA, Australia, and New Zealand. Can't speak to age and race, but if I had to throw a SWAG out there, I'd guess the majority being white males ~40-50 years old. Just a guess.

I'm 26, from the PNW. Seems like we have a pretty solid contingent.

I am surprised more of the young hipster homebrewers aren't getting into this. I only started in after reading "chasing the white dog", can't recommend that book enough. Between getting curious from that book and being allergic to beer, it was an easy sell.

Wow there's a lot of Canadians here.Well I'm an Aussie 42 , dads dad was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario , Mums family are of Prussian decent but some of their very distant ancestors were natives of Quebec (Algonquin I think of Ungava bay area) but pretty much ya could say I was white
