What is this thread about? I have absolutely no clue! :?

Same here. :?

(I'm thinkin' Xbox game?, halo over the head?,[the latter being more likely].)

I've known goose eye to make pretty vague posts, but this one takes the cake. (They're pretty vague even after deciphering the typed version of a Southern drawl.)

Making up a new word (even if it isn't) to describe this: confuzzled. :?

I'm not even going try to make a comment on this thread.

blanik :?

However I did have a very nasty experience yesterday while distilling some fine Brandy.

It all began when I decided to tidy up the shed. Bad mistake. As I was moving stuff from one stupid place to another more stupid place, I went into a seldom used corner and found TEN LITRES of HGGGP white dog, double distilled ranging from 80abv to 40abv which I had obviously put there to work on later and forgot it.

So now I have that ten litres to attend to - actually the 40abv stuff is OK as it is - plus the thirteen litres of double distilled Brandy.

Such is life, with apologies to Ned Kelly.

Simple potstiller. Slow, single run.
(50 litre, propane heated pot still. Coil in bucket condenser - No thermometer, No carbon)

Cumudgeon and loving it.

Blanik, if you can misplace/forget about TEN litres of hooch, then you a clearly have an adequate supply.

You are also clearly going to have an excellent Xmas. 8)

Actually melange was the creation of Frank Herbert in the Dune books.

But agreed, Heinlein was one of the absolute masters of the art.
He also authored one of my favourite quotes:
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
