phpBB and outbox

I am used to another forum setup and not very experienced with phpBB

When sending a PM, does it stay in outbox till the other user reads it?
or do I have one that just wont send for some reason?

It will be in the outbox until the user reads it.

I believe that while it is in the outbox, you still can edit it (just an FYI)
