Notable and quotable

Post by T-Pee »

The last time this was done was back in '05 (I think) and I'm positive that we have had lots of memorable quotes since then. Post your favorites and the author if you remember who it was. I'll start with this one from today:

Discussing leaving a running still: "The Gods of distillation don't like to be ignored." shadylane

The truth is that this site is very unsafe. You will find that the longer you stay here the more addicted to this silly hobby you will become. -blanikdog-

The best thermometer to use on a pot is one that you can hit with a VERY heavy hammer!

-blanikdog-

The best location for a thermometer on a pot still is under a twenty pound hammer.

-blanikdog-

Ahhhhhhhh Goodie! Another thermometer mashed with a Twenty pound hammer.

I still say to take a very large hammer to the thermometer, PP. As I did to mine.

I miss blanikdog. I wish he would stop by more often.

From a new post by prairiepiss I had to post this here because I almost choked laughing when I read it:

"Ethanol has a flavor. It tastes like a hospital to me."

Made me think of hospital food...
