The "tour" leaves something to be desired but I enjoyed the Rye, Vodka and the oak aged maple syrup at woodinville whiskey.... I was underwhelmed with their bourbon for what it's worth. The 2bar guys were super nice and worth stopping in to see. And there is a distillery on bainbridge, the baby was cranky before I got to try their products but the town is worth a visit, then if your in Oregon the guys at rogue are super nice but I haven't found a spirit of theirs that really did it for me yet...

In Portand I like the Distillery Row tour. You can walk to quite a few different micro-distilleries.

In Seattle you have a lot of choices and I have a sheet but haven't yet found it that lists at least 4 options for tours by proximity that was on the ADI national conference list prior to the conference. Not on the list but one of the better layed out distilleries where they do a lot of distillery training is at Heritage Distillery in Gig Harbor (a bit out of the way from Seattle) if you wanted a fun day from Seattle you could take the Washington State Ferry from Fauntleroy (West Seattle) to Southworth from there it is about 1/2 hour.

I will keep looking for that list of ADI tours!

WhiteDevil504 sounds interesting... Rouge? is that the beer Company in Newport?

Bushman thanks for the info there looks like the Portland area is right across the bridge from where i will be staying for a few days.... that may be a good chance... I be watching for that list if you find it.

thanks

Portland: Clear Creek

Seattle: Westland

If you somehow get north of the border: Shelter Point

Wishkah River in Aberdeen is a nice tour if you're out that way. There's also a brewery and winery in Westport. The winery has a great restaurant. (Save room for desert.)

I am partial to Skiprock in Snohomish.
They use local farmed and found ingredients.
Their rum is made form sugar cane grown on the property of a friend of theirs down south - otherwise local.
Enjoy the trip

One of the members here, Steelheadin360 has a legal distillery just north of Seattle in Arlington. If I recall correctly he said he would be happy to give members a tour. http://www.baddogdistillery.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
