To all of you who have donated: Thanks!

I have received three offers to buy this site in the last year. All of these folks want to take over the site and run ads. The offers haven't been lowball either! But I always tell them no, we don't want ads, and we are supported by our users!

As much as I'd miss you in charge, Uncle Jesse, I don't think anyone would fault you for eventually cashing in.

It takes romantics with a fair amount of idealism to carve out a place as comfortable and welcoming as is this site and its community. Thank you for holding on to your ideals, and for years of standing your ground! This place would be very different if it was commercialized, at least for me it would lose appeal real fast. And i believe i'm not alone in that, yet i feel appreciation for the status quo is expressed way too seldom. I value your integrity, you got my respect, man!
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.

On my one year anniversary, I just found this thread! I have learned so much from this forum it's incredible, well worthy of a donation. Oh and my eyes may not be bleeding any more but they are still always sore from reading. Forums like this are invaluable when mentoring or other exposures are not available. Thanks to UJ.

Just saw this thread. Donated last Thursday, not much but I felt I should contribute something for all the knowledge I have gained from this forum.
Thanks, to everyone.

Don't want to sound like a pauper, but donations have fallen off lately. Could use any amount folks are willing to send!

Thanks folks. Of course, even if I don't get a red cent, this site will continue to provide useful information for free!

I have been cruising this great website for the past couple of years as I try to learn the craft. I didn’t know that donations were needed until I just found this post by accident - my shekel is on the way. Wish there was a way to “poke” members as they log on to this site as a reminder that good things don’t come for free. Thanks to all those responsible for keeping the site up and running- because of things I learned here I am starting t make a decent drop to share with friends and family - what more can you ask of life?o

I would swap "insert currency" for a book of genuine moonshine recipes. If such a thing were possible, but if such a thing were possible the realms of possible increase dramatically with the amount of information available. I can imagine a book, a compilation of stories and methods and recipes and humour sitting alongside other comprehensive manuals on other great subjects. Its value equal to other great comprehensive manuals. Please.

Just go to tried and true, as good as a book if not better as you'll get other peoples view of said recipe ,not just the cooks.

UJ,

I found a few pennies under the floor mat. Bottom line, none of this would have happened without this site.

Much appreciated
If in doubt leave it out.
