Sold on ebay. They have a policy that no dead things or body parts can be sold, but there are exceptions for taxidermy items (such as skulls and antlers, and some taxidermy furs).
The dead hint was added due to antlers being dead when on the head of the animal. The only time they are live, is during velvet when they are growing. They are not useful (to the animal), at that time. Their usefulness comes after the velvet (and the antler) dies off.
The "nibbled" on, is due to mice (or something), having nibbled a little on them, I even think one or two of the points was nibbled off, but it might be fight broken.
After hint #4, I was actually concerned that someone might have enough clue to guess. If someone would have said antlers (or a skull mount), I probably would have declared them a winner. That is why I sort of shut up, and stopped with too many hints
