What's your best stuff?

Post by Antler24 »

So out of everything you've made, what was the best of the best?

Sugar head? Fruit wash? All grain?
Single run? Thumper? Double distilled?
Aged in Glass? Small barrel? Duration?

My best so far has been a ujsm batch. Double distilled, aged in Glass, 18 months. It's ok, not great, but I think I'm just not a ujsm fan. I'm a bourbon lover.

Made a rum from persimmon backset last year that was awesome at 6 months and a uj 50/50 corn and oats that was phenomenal. All grain wise most are still ageing but booners is nice white, lol. My toughest critic(wife) has used up two gallons of cornmeal and rice meal xx through the thump and wants more so that's probably the best though.

Hands down: Honey Bear Bourbon. 6-months-old now in a charred barrel.

I spend a lot of time and effort gathering, fermenting, steeping, distilling and aging all manner of fancy stuff, but even though some of them are very successful and turn out pretty special, my favorite drinking likker of the whole lot would have to be my white dog UJSSM.

A permutation of Bent’s oat wheat rye. Great flavor and aroma.

I'm getting better at this!

Brandy pot-stilled from wine. Seems to be really good.

A pure corn whisky (no sugar) allowed to age for about 1½ years. A banana liquor made a few months ago shows every indication of possibly being superior should the few bottles I still have, last that long.

Single malt oat whisky, about half double run pot stilled and the rest though a plated column, plum brandy is a close second.

AG COBB is what i make in bulk, repeatable and my fav go-to.... but the best? Man, that's tough.

feed molly/raw brown sugar rum, 3 years on oak.

COB made with honey backset was awesome short aged, in the small amount I had...didn't last long.

2 litres of slivovitz made the "ancient" way with wild yeast, a one-off wonder!
I finally quit drinking for good.

now i drink for evil.
