Good news and status quo news. the good news is that during this entire time, and all through this thread

and every conversation I've had since the start of this cancer crap I believed and stated that this was a six

year sentence. I WAS WRONG back into chemo the other day I was informed that its two years treatment.

from a clean inspection. now i'm two years in but had a recurrence a year ago and had to reset the clock

then. but now only have another year of chemo. the status quo news is that I still have another year.

but at least it's NOT FIVE MORE.

I can't for the life of me figure out how I got six years stuck in my head, but it was stuck good for the

last two years. At least i'm glad they got me properly informed.

Only one more year of treatment and not five? What a great surprise.

I hope you have a nice spirit aging now that will be ready in a year when you celebrate.

Its pretty amazing what they can do these days Cob, I'm two stents behind you . Sort of know how it goes , went from happily working in my shed, to a pain in chest about 5 minutes later. 3 hours later and a ride in an ambulance I was the owner of one stent. Installed it through a tiny cut in my wrist, not even a stitch to show for it....just a sticky plaster. Told me to go home 24 hours later and get back to life.
Thats was about 5 years ago now....all still well .....fingers crossed.
Things like that have made me appreciate each day and not waste my days on stuff that doesn't matter.

Best luck to you Cob, not on the same level but I had a growth on my chest that stayed the same size for 3 months. Went to the dermatologist and he said it was a stint and removed it giving me stitches. He called four days later after having the stint xrayed and tested. It came back negative for cancer but said he had never seen anything like it. I have to go back in after the stitches heal and they care going to cut out a larger area to make sure they got all of it.

Just back from hospital as the bionic man. Total hip replacement. Hip no longer hurts but I can’t make the damned leg lift yet ‘cause of all the bruised muscles from surgery. Wondering what fails next. Oh, yeah, FUCK ARTHRITIS.

Great news cob! Fuck cancer!!! I’m really happy for you man. Ya don’t need to know someone to be happy about giving cancer the finger and winning!! My Grandpa landed himself in the ER last Friday. He’s 90 and retaining water like a SOB. They moved him to a room for a two week “vacation” When I visited him he was looking great. Next thing I hear the Dr. tells him he’s had three strokes and headed to surgery. Come to find out the DAMN Dr. had the wrong room number! WTF! It’s all I could do to not go down there and beat some ass. Oh well at least the Old Man is doing ok. Everything seems so trivial when you start looking at the big picture.
For me, a life spent smoking and drinking in between hard manual labor breathing welding fumes and silica dust while turning wrenches. Looks like I got something to look forward to. Just when we start getting it together….

Onya Grandpa!

This is why every time I go for an OR procedure the assistant surgeon or the gas person
checks my wristband and asks my name and date of birth, and asks the procedure I
am there for, and which side I am having it on.

Exactly! Cut here. Shit man. We started asking if the other guy had been informed.

I'll spare the goriest of details but after the last heart attack Iwas prescribed a blood thinner (plavix).

And an artery in my stomach opened up in 2 places. There were symptoms for a couple days,

The next sympyoms made an immediate trip to the ER manditory at midnight tues. I called an ambulance

but canceled soon after as I realised I could ride the 15 minuets in a car. that was tues at midnight

released yesterday at noon liquid diet, But booze is not included.
