...seen lobster tanks before, but that one swamps 'em all!

You gotta appreciate people who bust up the weary landscape with stuff like this.

Traveling through flatland Kansas once, we drove for hours past cornfields and cows.
My young son suddenly perked up and exclaimed, "Look! A tree!"
Hahahaha!

breathe a little fresh air in this thread...

Had to run up I-65 to Chicago last week.
(Indiana interstates REALLY suck! )

Stopped for lunch in Bardstown Ky.
Folks at Jim Beam kinda nonchalant about losing 40,000+ barrels.
"Luckily it was fairly new product"

We saw construction on a new warehouse and was told the Governor was on his way for a groundbreaking for a new Craft Distilling Bldg.
(made me laugh a little)

While I was there, I filled a water bottle from the hand pump at the Master Distiller's House.
Also snapped this photo:

Not sure how well you can see, but I could relate to the basic premise.

In addition to Jim Beam, also stopped off at Willett, Heaven Hills and Barton.

All the tours were about 90 minutes.
Luckily Barton's offered free tastings without taking the tour.
They offered VO Barton (4-6 year), 1792 (7-10 year) & a chocolate bourbon cream that is only sold at the distillery.
(I withstood the temptation didn't try the cream but my sons loved it.)

Among all the swag for sale in the shop was Barrel Bungs.
I guess it's their version of wood chips for the smoker.

Barley being offloaded into a silo, from there goes through the dryer. Special care is taken during combining barley intended for malting, if it won't malt then it's off to the feed mill.

The large bins hold 48,000 bushels.

Now that’s funny. And here I thought they were trying to bring em back from the dead with the thing. Your idea seems much more likely.

Down at the local cemetery looking for ole mates grave, anyways thought I'd go up the back of the Presbyterian section and take a photo of the founder of the Australian Workers Union for my sister as she works for em.
I spotted this nearby grave that is pretty interesting for and American Civil War veteran burried here in this little town

Don't know the details or where the story came from.

How 'interesting" it is depends on if you were on the right or left, givin' or gittin'.
Old Dude.png

The caption was,
"When you are 24 and break into a 73 yr old’s house and threaten him and his wife with a knife and didn’t know he was a boxer, a marine, and hand to hand combat instructor."
