I use a ladle on the end of my racking cane or siphon hose. It keeps it from stirring up the grain bed.

The spirit of pleasing guests tomorrow with a decent choice of drinks requires quality control.
I've now quality controlled the hell out of Honey Bear, Cornflake Whiskey, brandy, Odin's Gin, and a compound gin.
Just tastes, mind you.

I think what really buzzed me is the homemade beer afterwards though.
First year the wife and I haven't had to visit Harry (yes. first name basis) at Bombay Liquor Store.

I hope Harry makes it without me in the years to come.

I'm doing QC on a blend of half a dozen rums that I put together a few months ago when I wasn't sober and couldn't be bothered keeping notes. Unfortunately, it's rather nice :D

Bump

I just got off work being a wonderful and personable bartender. I am off till Tuesday now and finally home, and I am drinking bourbon. Things are getting "lit" here in New Orleans ... To use the parlance of our times. Because of our upcoming Carnival/Mardi gras...

Cheers yall
