Too easy to get a little choked up every time I watch this.

The old dog not only learned to open doors, she also closed them behind herself.
That's a hard act to follow!

The closing part was the most difficult.
She had to explain to me how to install the door spring.

Sorry shady. Dogs family and losing family is rough.

Shady I hope you can open your heart to another, none of them can replace the good ole dog but if you're anything like me you now have a dog shaped hole that needs filling.
I'll be picking up a boxer puppy tomorrow afternoon.
The cat isn't going to be happy.

Every time I lose a dog, I say I’ll never get another. But I always seem to change my mind. It heals your heart…

Rip Sassy and best to you and Family Shady. It took me 8 yrs after my last dog to get a new one. I don’t like that term “new one” for some reason but that was a few months ago so he’s adjusting into the family very well. Anyway his name is Eko and i picked him in part because he’s a crazy ass white-dog and i love me some white dog!

Best wishes!

It wasn't a loss, I had a great friend for almost 16 years.
Right now the puppy is laying in my wife's lap with all 4 feet sticking straight up.
Sound asleep and dreaming with a smile on it's face.
I wonder if the little pup has figured out that it just won the puppy dog lottery.

Shady,

Congrats on the new member to the household.
If in doubt leave it out.
