Bottles

Post by CTcraft »

Where do all of you guys source your bottles from? In the market of changing our bottle shape and adding sizes and wanting to look at all options. Thanks!

The package liquor store. I reuse empty bottles from “paradigms“ I’ve bought.

I have purchased from this company a few times and have always been happy with their products and service.

My fishing partner loves Bushmill and used to save me his empty bottles. I have a bunch now but love the square shape as it makes stacking in the cabinet more convenient.

Here’s one source: https://www.specialtybottle.com/glass-bottles/corked

Here’s another (where I’ve ordered from): https://www.berlinpackaging.com/search. ... les&mpp=48

Since the distillery that you work at wants to enhance the product line by specialty glassware, I’d assume you’re searching for options on behalf of the distillery, right?

Have you bothered to inquire with the company that currently supplies glassware to the distillery? What options do they offer? Chances are, they’ll work hard to keep your business.

I keep my barrel cuts aging in gallon jugs with a cork down in the cellar. I have collected several different decanters and other generic whiskey bottles that I can remove the label from and put my own label on for my house spirits. I make wine and have a stock of various wine bottles. I'll usually use a clear wine bottle for gifting spirits and cork & label it too - wrap it in crepe paper and use a wax letter seal to close the paper has a nice krafty gifting effect on the recipient.

Cheers!

I also recommend Berlin Packaging. Free shipping with a big enough order ($100 when I ordered), but still have good prices on bottles.

I guess I should have added some more information to the post at the beginning. The current supplier we are using is from China and the new ownership is wanting to source everything outside of China. I was hoping to be able to use our old supplier but that is definitely out of the question now.
I will definitely be checking all these sources out and appreciate all the responses.

As a new distillery here in Essex, UK, does anyone have any UK based bottle providers or good EU source for Gin, Vodka Bottles?
