crack in fermenter

Post by mfradman »

Hi all, I bought a 7 gallon fermenter last winter and have used it a number of times, I run it with a cover and a air lock on it. So when I came into the shop yesterday and saw some liquid on the table I was surprised, but I really could not do much about it at the moment as the batch was ready for the still and I had planned to run today, I am running as I write this. When I washed it up, I could see a crack around most of the bottom, the brand of this is True Brew. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever seen this before or is it just consistent with my crappy luck?

Sounds like bad luck to me.

Sounds like bad luck that you could stress crack a stainless steel pot, unless you threw WAY too much heat at it...
