Hyrodometer and alcoholmeter base temp

Post by kenfyoozed »

I just ordered hyrometers and alcoholmeters from "milehi". These are calibrated at 60 degrees F. I thought they were to be calibrated at 68F/20C? Is this not correct? or does it matter?

Also I have searched, on here and google but cant seem to find an Alcoholmeter temp correction calc. Could someone point me to the proper area.

Thanks

The hydrometers will probably come with a correction scale. Mine did.

Thanks, Just having a hard time trying to figure these hyrodometers out. I used them last night in beer and vodka, Both were cold around 50f, and I couldnt make heads or tails of the instructions on temp correction. I'll try again.
