3D Printed Thermometer Holder

Post by artooks »

Hi Everyone,

In my still I use push connect cooling lines, and I also have 2 thermometers that shows the water temperature that supplied in and return water temperature from the RC, I purchased these from Still Dragon, the problem is that I used double sided tape to fix the thermometer which always fell, and drive me crazy so one day, I sat down and decided to model something which could house the thermometer and also be able to fix somehow on the push connect thermo kit tee, I take out my caliper and started to analyze the part, after some thought I decided on how to model the part. it took me an hour to model it by taking many measurements, and also tilts up and down since it has been fixated on the circle part on the tee, which makes it possible to move it upward and downward slightly. Now I am really happy with this part, the problem with double sided tape was the surface was not flat so it did not hold very well and was dropping from time to time, now there is no problem at all, If anyone needs for the STL files I would be more than glad to share it.

Here is the actual part and the one that I made.

3D printers have come a long way in the last 15 years since the one I used in the late 1990’s.

Wow 15 years ago, you must be very luck to have that experience.

It was a used one from Nike and back then you really used it basically for concept modeling not for actual parts.
