PID Temp Probe Fix

Post by SpeakEasy »

I have found out that if the Temp Probe is too short or stationary to your unit, you can use 2 phone jacks and a standard phone cord to lengthen it and make it detachable.
Very easy fix if your eyes are good enough to see the wires.

I know the feeling. I buy a particular type of cheap connector on fLebay for many low voltage connections because they are chunky and I can solder them without stressing my eyes before I get the job done.

What kind of cheap connector, if I may ask? I am soldering challenged and I am interested in cheap nice connectors easy to tamper with.
