Dump Valve through Gas Burner

Post by decoy »

I read a few posts with people asking about having a dump drain when using GAS or more so going through the gas burner.

I dug out my old 50L BOP and had to replace the top half and do a bit of a clean as I have not used it in over 7 years.

I used a stainless mesh to create a sock around the drain and nut and stuffed it with ceramic heat wool insulation I re purposed from an old oven.
basically make the screen tube slightly larger then the needed and pack and tamp down with glass wool.
This prevents the nut & dump tube from over heating and burning the seal.
