Red/Blue quick connects

Post by Smokee »

I need to fix the tubing to my dephleg and product condenser. I saw in a video I've recently watched these blue and red plastic quick-connects, pretty much like what I have on my air compressor but they're plastic. I'm using a small pond pump to circulate the cooling water, I'd love to make the connect on the still more permanent. I've been searching "quick connect" and a list of similar searches but seem to only be getting the shark bite type connectors, nothing like what I'm looking for. I think the brass connectors are over-kill for the low-pressures of the pond pump.

I'm I using the wrong term for these? I'm looking for a light-duty quick connect with barbed ends.

Here's what I use, plus some 3/8" RODI tubing and a hose-thread to push-connect tubing adapter to connect to my utility sink:

It does get warm on the condenser output, and likely won't last forever, but it has lasted 2 years with no drips. It just gets harder to push the tubing in.
