No reason not to. There are other cheaper options. What kind of boiler and thumper do you have?

A 15 gallon keg boiler, a 5 gallon keg thumper.
I've never used the thumper but I'm tired of having to run everything thing twice.
Just doing a little remodeling.

I just want to be safe, no contamination.
Any recommendations, I'm all ears.

RPTFE is Teflon with a glass embedded in it to make it a more ware proof seal. Both PTFE and glass are approved here for seals so I see no reason I wouldn't use it. Plus drains are not put in the Hi Temp Hi Vapor environment. This is where I got a 2" for my inverted keg drain.
