Hey guys,

painfully, I had to figure out that the cheap chinese stuff I bought is just cheap chinese sh*t.

I bought these https://www.ebay.fr/itm/273559623184. One of them hat a little rusty spot, so I cleaned them all in 15 % phosphoric acid and gave them a bath in citric acid later, to cure the ss surface. They all looked pretty clean, indeed the bolt was made from a different material I guessed. Bit darker in color.

Today, they look like this :wtf: :
Part 1
Part 1
Part 2
Part 2
How stupid I am.

The body looks ok, but the bolt seems to be the problem.

Any advice what stainless steel needle valve to buy?

Thanks in advance.

That should work . :D
Shame you have to mortgage the house to buy a needle valve that doesn’t rust .

Swagelok, Yor-lok, Parker, Nupro, whitey. None of em are cheap but all should do what you need reliably.

Whichever you buy ensure that the correct needle valve is purchased. Because it says needle valve doesn't mean it's of the right type. Of course they will work, but some better than others.

If you can and putting it in simple terms, get the one with the sharpest and longest point on the needle. With this, you will get the best results.

I use a similar valve to the one in the OP for the deflag water for my Bokakob. It works well enough for that purpose even though it has the same problems.

For the product valve for my Bokakob, I use a gate valve that I found in my handy junk collection. I filed a V into the bottom of the gate to give me better flow control and that works quite well.
