Well, some of you maybe know Big Clive from youtube.
He experimented with whiskey and vodka, instead of elecronics.
I like him a lot, but that‘s... dunno, special.
Enjoy and smile.

Seems consistent with the level of youtube distiller expertise.

Perhaps the accent adds a “wee bit” of credibility?

I posted it, because he‘s great in taking things apart and analyzing electronic stuff... so watched 100s of BC videos over the years. And I like the Scottish accent. Anyway, he‘s entertaining but it‘s a „not to do“ imho, specially the way he did.
Wonder if he goes further into distilling and experimenting in our area of science.

I actually met the guy in real life waaaaaaay back when. He was crewing an event that I worked. We chatted a bit about electronics and hacking. Never realised he'd reached YouTube. I might have to watch some of his videos.

Ya notice that the bottle he just "distilled" is almost as full as it started? And that there is just a tiny bit left in the still. What an amateur crock of crap.

Yep. He started with 750 ml and collected about 675-700 ml. But what was left in the boiler wasn’t 50-75 ml of sludge. Where’d the “water” go? Plus, running 40%ABV wash (a bottle of 80 proof “scotch”) would produce a spirit at 90%ABV until he got waaaay into the sweetwater (backend).
Just a lot of “missing pieces” to his puzzle that don’t show up in the video. Kinda’ deceiving....

It looks like a hoax, because when distillation, in any case, some part of the fluid evaporates, which means that the volume decreases.stillanoob wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 6:51 am Ya notice that the bottle he just "distilled" is almost as full as it started?
