SOH pulled brownies and pepperoni rolls out of the oven a little bit ago and put in the snack box with the cocolate chip cookies . Bringing 2 12 packs of coke .

I Plan to leave between 4:30p and 5pm. Camping stuff loaded up in the back of the truck.

Bring portable chairs for all the back porch lounging about. They were a premium at S3. Had to scavenge from Campers and a trip to Wally World.

Bought some distilled water so I can open up the oak barrel and cut down some aged UJSSM.

Boom, shine and myself are sitting on the porch. Just eat some home made pizza. Boom and shine are picking n strumming.
I must say life is great. Good friends, spirits, and food. It don't get any better.
Waiting on bigbob, damn weather delayed him in DC.

Good Lookin table.. I must admit that the SOH and I bought a table that looked just like that because we needed the chairs... My dining room has a table (previously acquired and huge) for 12 and the 8 chairs we got with this table were "on sale".. Funny thing is my SOH told me if I screwed up the top of the table it was the end of the world so to protect all you guys I set the table "UPSIDE DOWN" with an unused chest freezer on one side and the stacked up original 4 tires of a willys jeep on the other... Been using that now for almost a year and the underside of that table looks like S&#t but the top is immaculate....
Wish I was there....

Rick that table was a freebee along the road. If it wasn't for the 2# of drywall screws it would be firewood.

Takes me back..

We had a regular vacation planned around the s3 meeting. Wasn't planning to go out to Woodshed's place the first night but the guys kinda circulated my number.. T-Pee can be persuasive when he wants to be. I had to go out for just a while so up the mountain we went. The warmth, acceptance, and comradery is hard to describe, but you folks will know it soon if you don't already. It's surreal and overwhelming. Like you've been there your whole life and meeting people you've known for ages.

I'll say it again I envy you guys. Soak it up and try to remember every moment. Bring small tasting glasses if you can so you don't get hosed trying to sample all of everything.

Car's all packed , beans are simmering in the crock pot after spending 5 hours in the smoker grill . Showered my nasty ass and laid out clean underwear for morning . Dunna know why except Momma always demanded that at the start of a trip . Why , I can't fathom , get in a wreck you gonna shit yourself first thing . Anyhow , as they say in Arkeesaw , we stoked and ready to ride .

wife just pulled me out of the shop. stillin', mashin', fermentin', CLEANIN' i think i was actually sweating.

apparently i looked a bit pout on.
said "all my friends are at a party and i'm stuck home!"
she says "well go!"
i don't think she realized the party is about 3500 miles away.
