WELL! I cancelled my reservation for next weekend but there's going to be a 4 day delay on the full refund... Sucks. I got the same room for this weekend Fri-Sun, leaving Sunday! We rearranged plans and we won't be able to leave Friday morning now as planned next weekend, but hopefully we will be leaving by noon/lunch tomorrow. This means a later evening arrival Friday, maybe to the house by 9-10p. Better late than never/not at all! Phew! Damn!!

So I WILL see you all, thank Jeebus and Popcorn! Looks like I'll be doing laundry and getting all my bottles ready tonight.

DO y'all think a 750 of each is sufficient for bringin'? That was my plans. I have several 750's of most of my stuff prepared and labelled already, although I didn't label proof as most all my stuff, well ALL my stuff is 80 proof or a touch higher (rum) or lower (78-75, not positive) the brandies were proofed to 84 before the macerations which the water in the fruits I'm sure lowered proof. Anyway I'm sure it's positively safe and on point to assume my spirits are within 80 or +/- 4 points at most. Not a need to 'warn' anyone about.

Nice pull, DD. Good thing, becuase the tray of wings on the right is yours! 20lbs...I need help, lol.

750 is more than enough. Honestly, we always bring too much. All of us. It's just a problem we have.

Small sips. Small sips...

Haha - I can't wait to meet everyone! I gotta moderate my intake of everythin - I have been battling my weight due to a recurring leg infection I had last year and a half and an embolism that came back again and again, which dictated lack of much activity. I put a lot of weight on. So I am big now, always had a problem, but now around 450 I am trying VERY hard to get it off and consuming is not my friend with regard to anything I can consume lol. But I'll be partaking of everything on offer, and I'm particularly deeply excited about the hog roast. I haven't had one since I was 4 years old at my uncle's wedding, and I STILL remember that pork, it was life-altering! I'm really glad we (pops n I) were able to switcheroo plans.

Bayou sent roughly 500# (or maybe like 8# - give or take) of boudin and two bowels of gumbo plus 6 sample flasks - generosity unbound for sure. Thanks buddy. Wish you were able to make it up.
