Pic's are worth 100 words but a bit of nominal size information and brief description on what you think would go a long way to discuss.

I don't see a vent between the top of the boiler and the top of the sight glass.
It may not need it, but other steam generators have it.

Housing is 7x36". Was planning on running 2 5500w elements.
Will have a 4" TC on top with reducer to 1.5".
I am planning to vent the top of the float chamber to the steam chamber.
I am trying to decide how much water needs to be over the elements at the moment, was thinking a 4" min. But don't have anything to back that up.

I’m interested in the float sensor you have . It appears to have two black and two red wires . Can you explain a bit about it and why you chose this sensor . I’ve been keen on a stream generator for a while so interested in your very cool setup

Looks like a float switch that triggers the fill valve Yummy.

Don't have my glasses close at hand but think I like it.

Definitely needs a PRV.

Should have pressure gauge and manual dump valve vented to a safe place too.

Maybe not critical, but the fresh water fill on the model allows for the water to enter on the float valve side to insure minimal impact of potential thermal shock.

Its a dual float switch. I had intentions of using the lower float as a low water cut out for the elements, but things didnt line up like i wanted.

Thanks Larry.
I planned on some safety valves, but haven't figured out how i want to incorporate them yet.
As for the water in, my thinking was to slow it down enough to keep the valve from cycling rapidly and fill slowly as possible.

Can put a tee on top of your main can and plop (clamp off) a PRV on top.

I don't know what the volumes are but it looks to me like it's not going to cycle as rapidly as you think it will.

I assume you've seen the one built by Telluride on the Still Dragon forums? It always looked nice to me.

No, I have a needle valve on the inlet to slow the filling from line pressure. Will have to work on that action video. .

Perfect timing! This build is great!

Not really, I also have a valve on the switch reservoir to slow the response to the switch
