probably the wrong place to post, but the parent "main" page is down. Direct links to other pages seem to work.
FYI.
Not sure if anyone noticed.
Cheers

IT WORKS!
Re: Parent site down.
Uncle Jess has been working hard at updating the parent page so that might be the reason.

I fixed it
every time I upgrade apache it puts that index.html in place and I almost always forget to delete it

Need to write "upgrade_apache.sh" so you don't forget. I won't start a bash vs csh war nor vi vs emacs. Ah, the fun of being a sysadmin. Fortunately, I only play one on TV.Uncle Jesse wrote:I fixed it

/bin/mail
/bin/vi
that's just how I roll

Whatever works for you, it's all good. Next time you're over in the SC mountains, let me know and we'll have a couple.Uncle Jesse wrote: /bin/csh

For my server (an Asus router that doesn't route anymore)
/opt/bin/bash
/opt/var/Mailroot/xmail
/opt/bin/vi->/opt/bin/busybox
/opt/sbin/named
/opt/sbin/lighttpd
/opt/bin/spamd
That's how I roll on a cheap frugal 5W server.
Thank the deities that I don't have to do real sysadmin stuff for somebody else. I just do embedded hardware, firmware and project management.

Re: Parent site down.
It’s all about bash. Anything else is uncivilized.
Nothing like logging in to a new server and discovering that you only have ksh... It’s like someone said, “hmmm, this backspace key is way too clear about its intentions, I’m going to map it to something completely mysterious for no reason.”
