Fractionating still - not reflux

I am just finishing up a new still. Four foot column used with packing but no reflux condenser on top. According to Mike Nixon a still like this can achieve 90%. I probably will do a pot still run first. The fractionating still should be much faster and will be good enough quality for me. Any one else using this type? What are your experiances. Thanks.
