just wondering if there r any ozzies out there on the forum makes it easier with converions and recipies.
G'day mate, I am an Ozzie as well. Living in Adelaide. I am only really into sugar washes and making a nuetral spirit at the moment with my reflux still.
Built my own still after getting tired of using a 5 litre version. I am still trying little mods to get the best product I can.
In fact I have just built a new taller tower. It is now 1 metre tall and new liebig condenser. All filled with copper mess rather than SS. I have not tried it out yet, but wash should be ready this weekend.
Anyway just saw your post so thought I would reply and say G'day.

Hey there Mates, do any of you Aussies know any ringers down there, I've been in that line of work on the side about all my life but in a different way. Or yall know any whip makers down there, I do that also and learned from books written by Aussies.

Hi Golden Pond. My brother is in Toowoomba QLD and he has made a couple of whips. He was taught by the master himself, R.M. Williams, a couple of years ago before the great man passed on.
Cheers

Good to hear Duds and yes I've heard of R.M. Williams, owner of the Rocky Bar Station I think, also David Morgan (He's in the US now, but an Aussie by the name of Terry Jacka is buildings his whips) I learned the finer points from an Aussie by the name of Ron Edwards. I've nerver been able to keep any I make so far, some fool offers me too good of a price so I sell them. I'm working on a 24 plait now for myself and I hope to keep it.
