Keg Fermenter, any ideas?

Post by cellsitegod »

I've got a couple of 15 gal kegs. A newer one and an older one.
I'd like to try and convert one to a fermenter.
The older one I have the top is already cut out and a lid fitted. But, the bottom is the old style that isn't smooth and conical.
One idea I have is: To cut the bottom out and weld a SS funnel to the bottom, fit a valve on it. Anybody got a link to where I can get a large funnel or something like it?
But, I'm not opposed to modifying the new one.
If anybody has any other configurations or ideas please let me know.
Pics would be great!
I'd like to keep it simple as possible but functional.
