Used Whiskey Barrels

Post by Hillbilly Rebel »

I found this site selling once used or new whiskey barrels. You might find it interesting if you need a 53 gallon barrel, that is.

Never follow good whiskey with water, unless you're out of good whiskey!!!

Went to Walmart yesterday and picked up a barrel that would be similar to a #542 rustic barrel at the kentucky barrel website. Only paid $38 and I thought it was a great score being a Jim Beam barrel. Smelled WONDERFULL!! There is still @ a gallon or so of something sloshing around inside. Plan to open the bung today.

Ya know Don, we live real close to the Napa Valley where there have to be lots of old wine barrels. We just have to find out what they do with the old ones. :D

Opened it tonite and got almost a full 750ml bottle of very smooth Jim Beam. Makes it worth the price of the barrel.

Sorry, the site didn't come through. But Golden Pond saved me. http://www.kentuckybarrels.com onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow was the site I had found.
