Science Professions ?

Grayson mentioned that he is an engineer, and I'm doing some training with some engineers and other science types .

I'm not an engineer, but are there any others or engineers in training ?

Physics people ?

Chemists ?

Biology people ?

Mathematics isn't my favorite, but I guess they are brethern to physicists too, even though they accuse us of corrupting and mis-using math with our "loose" interpretation of thier dicipline.

I am currently working in a liquor-allied industry, with a background in biochemisty and anesthesiology research.

Liquor's more fun. Pays more than academia, too.

I'm a writer, personally. Although I keep trying to figure out a way to make my hobby into something that pays (a legal way), I'll probably stick to writing for a while. Although, a distillery recently opened up around here...I keep meaning to get in touch and ask if they give tours...

How about social scientists?

I'm getting my degree in Development Studies (in the Sociology Dept) now. May be doing community/youth development work or may be making booze for a living after I graduate.

right now, I 'study' kind of a scientific studies (gymnasium). In October, I'll probably start with egineer studies. (do the different types of engineer have a name?)

Big J, I suppose social science is science.....explaining and understanding or changing human behavior, in some ways it is more complex than rocketry. I am slightly prejudiced tward the "hard science"...I almost forgot to include biology. Social science is a branch of biology on the larger scale like ecology, in my OPINION.

In french is it "ingenieur civil" and I think in english is it the same : "civil engineer".
I think in our country it indicates the most polyvalent engineer in applied sciences (most difficult studies too!!!)

For myself, I tried pharmacology studies, but without success, and I studied then psychology 5 years at university, we call that level of studies a "licence". I'm no scientist but I'm very interested about sciences.

Very cool stoker, education is never wasted, and can never be reposesed, unlike a car or house.

I'm studying for multiple possible careers.

Physics teacher, Physicist, and I am taking a special course for industrial labratory in nano-technology.

The nano-technology course is an engineering style group of courses in the ultra-small(10^-9meters) construction that crosses many diciplines including chemistry,physics, biology, and medicine.

behind every good engineer is a team of d--n good technicians. im a soon to be engineering technician. surveying being my main focus. taking all that stuff on paper then applying it to the field and making it work. sometimes things just dont work on paper. thats when i have to earn my money.

I agree with Ricky 100%!!! You have to depend on others eyes out in the field to recognize when something "ain't quite right". I depend on so many people and I really value their input and dedication.

I have a two year communications electronics degree.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering.
I have a minor in Math, Computer science and chemistry.

I am a certified solderer for Mil Spec equipment, Have had training in Welding, Machining, Milling and Graphics Arts.
I have a never ending thirst to learn how to do everything.

Oh and Goose Eye, I am driving that constantly derailing, train of thought.
