How to tell a SS from an Aluminum keg?

In our view 30 gallons and under is considered hobby size. Do not bring anything larger than this to our site.

How to tell a SS from an Aluminum keg?

Post by rezaxis »

Hey everybody. I'm new around here and pleased to meet ya!

So how does a layman tell a stainless from an aluminum keg? Like, what instructions could you give your Grandma over the phone so that she could shuffle down to the basement and come back and tell you for sure that old keg that's been kickin' around down there is what you're looking for?
