Activated Stone Carbon

Anyone used activated Stone carbon in thne Z-filter? IM" guessing its better then universal carbon?

I was just wondering if There was something special about the carbon in the Z-filter ( the universal carbon) that made it so you didn't have soak it for 24 hours OR is that just a way to make it that much better ( soaking it)

Read Gert Strands book on carbon... Its on the Brewhaus website. It explains everything...
