Can I use a rubber stopper for my lyne arm?

Can I use a rubber stopper for my lyne arm?

Im currently building my still, and im wondering how to connect to copper tubing to the boiler. I was thinking of of using a rubber stopper with a hole through it so the tube can go in.. but is there a better way? I was reading about 'compression fittings' If i use one of those, why type am I looking for?
