censorship

Post by Uncle Jesse »

we don't talk about politics or religion. i'll delete or lock any posts which start talking about such divisive topics, as long-term members will tell you. is this censorship? no. you can go talk about politics or religion in a lot of places, nobody is stopping you from expressing your opinion. we're merely limiting the arguments we have here to the topic of distilling. we're trying to keep this a friendly community of like-minded hobbyists.

as for the plastics thread, yes i locked it. if you're going to complain about censorship, don't waste your breath. you're free to post on any of a number of topics relating to plastics, and you're welcome to start your own. i locked the topic because i feel it's important and i want it to stay short and sweet so that the point isn't muddled in 150 responses. in fact i was going to lock it before there were any responses to it but i allowed a few because i posted some legal stuff i had found during my research.

i'm open for discussion on plastics, but please, do not use plastic in your still. period.

Fully agree with you, UJ... I did the same censorship on my french distiller's forum about plastics, lead, aluminium ...
Some people don't want to understand, I'm tired of them!
I'm french speaking!

Boiler : 50 L (13 gal) beer keg, gas heated.
Reflux : 104 cm (41 inches) column 54 mm (2 inches) diameter withh SS scrubbers packing.
Potstill : 40 cm (15 inches) column 54 mm (2 inches) diameter without packing.
