The NBC nightly news had a segment about scotch distilleries making HUGE profits nowadays. Apparently, the Chinese are becoming Scotch addicts. They blend theirs with green tea. The demand is so high that the Scotch distilleries are actually building new distilleries to keep up with demand, which hasn't been done in the Scottish Highlands for 2 decades.

It is interesting, when this Chinese boom stops....the whole world is gonna hurt!

The statistics in China and India are mind boggling.

I can't recall the exact numbers, but I was astounded by the number of cars being sold daily and the number of persons moving from backward rural areas into the cities.

A whole new enormous middle class creating a need for commodities i.e oil, natural gas, copper, steel, zinc, nickel, gold etc. etc.

Buy stocks in good companies producing these products; you can't go wrong.

I was reading the other day that the chinese stock market crashed, and then for some ungodly reason gas prices in california skyrocketed to over 3 dollars a gallon again. While the price of gasoline in the illinois area is still at 2 dollars and around 60 cents per gallon-as reported by my father in law.

I hate world economics!!!

And my opinion of scotch-eww I throwup after a couple ounces of drinking that crap.

Gimme a bottle of bundy rum any day you Aussies!!! God that stuff is good!
